It is used as an underlay membrane of intermediate layer for multi-layer roof systems, waterproofing against ground moisture and in a multi-layer system against pressure water.

Storage
The rolls of bitumen membranes are transported on pallets. They are stored in covered warehouses and placed upright so that they are not exposed to direct weather influence. Near must not be any heat source.
